The Woodlawn Bears (24-11) finished the Region 4 Tournament as the no. 4 seed and will face the defending Class 2A State Champion East Poinsett County (EPC) Warriors (23-4), the no. 1 seed from Region 2, at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, March 3) at the Poyen High School Athletic Complex. EPC went undefeated in 2-2A conference play this year before taking the Region 2 Tournament with a 62-45 win over Izard County on Saturday.
All four teams from the 8-2A conference swept the four teams from the 7-2A conference in the first round of the Region 4 Tournament last at Hampton. After getting past Dierks, 62-56, in the first round last , the Bears fell to the host team, Hampton, 72-56, in the semifinals on Friday before coming up short against Junction City, 67-64, in the third-place game at Saturday.
