The Woodlawn Bears opened the Batesville Tournament with a 13-1 loss to Riverside, which used big innings to secure a run-rule victory. The Bears rebounded Saturday with two wins to improve to 6-2 overall. Woodlawn defeated Salem 16-7 behind Parker Arnold’s 3-for-3, four-RBI performance, using a seven-run fifth inning to pull away. They followed with a 13-6 win over Midland, scoring eight runs in the first inning to take control early. Logan Clark and Gavin Edmonds led the offense in the finale, while Ty Motes earned the win on the mound as the Bears finished the tournament strong with consecutive victories.
