Effort Underway To Honor Jimmy Drake at Kingsland

Mike Brown of Crosby, Texas, a Kingsland native, addressed the Kingsland City Council Thursday night about establishing a memorial recognizing Jimmy Drake’s contributions to the community. He said the idea is to establish a marker and a bench where Drake’s store used to be at the corner of Larch and First Streets in Kingsland.
