Just a reminder that the Republican primary election is now a “closed” election, which means only voters registered as Republicans or “optional” (unaffiliated) will be allowed to vote. If you are registered as a Democrat but would like to vote in the Republican primary to help decided the races for Cleveland County judge and sheriff, you will need to fill out a new voter registration card to declare as a Republican or optional, and turn that registration in to the clerk’s office at the courthouse in Rison. Voter registration cards are available at the Revenue Office or county clerk’s office in Rison. The deadline for turning in the new registration card is up to election day.
