The Cedar Ridge Timberwolves jumped out to a 20–0 lead and never trailed as they handed the Woodlawn Bears their first and only loss of the season, 74-38, to win the Arkansas eight-man state championship Thursday night at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. Cedar Ridge quarterback Jonas Elms was award the Most Valuable Player awarded after scoring six touchdowns while rushing for 279 yards, and completing 7-of-8 passes for another 128 yards and two more scores. Junior quarterback Ethan Saeler led the Bears with two touchdowns on 140 yards rushing while passing for 153 yards and two scores. Woodlawn finished the year 10-1 overall and won the South Conference championship.
