Woodlawn Increases Administrative Pay Indexes

Body

The Woodlawn School Board approved increases to administrative salary indexes during its regular meeting this week after Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hancock reported Woodlawn’s pay levels were significantly below those of nearby districts. The adjustments will raise the multipliers used to determine pay for assistant principal, elementary principal, high school principal and superintendent, costing about $49,000 annually and taking effect July 1 for the 2026-27 school year. Hancock also told the board the district may have about $80,000 in damage from a recent winter storm, including a fieldhouse roof that must be replaced. Board members also reviewed improving interim test scores, approved an E-Rate technology upgrade project, and made several personnel hires.
