Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hancock has announced there will be a special called meeting of the Woodlawn School Board at 7 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 17) in the administration building to approve the 2026-27 school calendar as well as act on bids submitted for the school cafeteria expansion. Hancock said the district’s construction manager for the project, Brody Richardson of Brody Richardson Construction of Sheridan, is supposed to present what he described as the “hard bids” for the project. The district plans to add more dining space for students, renovate the kitchen, add storage space and create a second serving line to the school cafeteria. Hancock said he hopes to have construction being near the end of the school year.
