Local School Districts Consider Accumulated Time for Make-Up Days

Body

Both the Cleveland County and Woodlawn School Districts had to dismiss classes for five school days this past week (Monday, Jan. 26, through Friday, Jan. 30) due to icy road conditions following last week’s winter storm. Cleveland County Superintendent Davy King and Woodlawn Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hancock both reported that they will have to analyze their accumulated time to see if any of the missed school days will have to be made up. Both districts extended their regular day-to-day classroom time to build in some automatic make-up time for inclement weather days.
