The Cleveland County School Board is expected to decide on a construction manager to oversee the building of a new gym at the Rison campus in a special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, March 19, at the administration building. All seven board members were present for a recent special meeting to hear presentations from four prospects wanting to oversee the job. Superintendent Davy King and architect Steve Elliott were also there. Those interviewing for the job included Kinco Constructors of Little Rock, Brody Richardson Construction of Sheridan, Clark Construction of Little Rock, and Baldwin & Shell Construction of Little Rock. All candidates projected the gym to be finished by August 2027.
