Poyen scored four runs late to pull out a 9-8 win over the Rison Wildcats Saturday in the second round of the Poyen Tournament. The ‘Cats had just scored four runs in the top of the fourth to take an 8-5 lead before the Indians rallied in the bottom of frame to get the win. Noah Matheson and Logan McGarity combined to toss at two-hitter as the Wildcats picked up their first win of the year on Friday with an 8-0 shutout of Magnet Cove in the first round of the Poyen Tournament.
