Body

The Cleveland County School Board unanimously selected Clark Construction of Little Rock as construction manager for a new gym at the Rison School campus during a special meeting Monday. Clark was chosen over three other finalists after closely rated presentations. The project is expected to be completed by August 2027. Officials said costs will be determined after final plans are approved and bids are received. Updates to the design include relocating a road, multipurpose concession areas, and incorporating elements honoring the district’s merged schools: Kingsland, New Edinburg and Rison. Architect Steve Elliott said he expects the state to approve the plans soon.
