Martin Dale McClain, 93, of Pine Bluff, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Born at Rye, Arkansas on September 23, 1932, he was the son of the late Edgar Faye McClain and Thelma Stewart McClain.
He leaves a legacy as a Christian; gentle and kind with a strong work ethic who deeply loved and provided for his family. He was a longtime resident of Sulphur Springs community and a member of the Hwy 79 Church of Christ.
Mr. McClain worked as a large coil winder for Central Transformer Corp (now Central Moloney Inc.) in Pine Bluff for 26 years. He later successfully started his own electrical business, Pines Electric Inc., which he ran until 1996. After retiring he went back to work for Fragimatics in Pine Bluff building electrical components.
He married Joyce Newton McClain on February 3, 1955, and she preceded him in death on September 30, 2007.
In addition, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jana Hodges DeHart; three brothers, Daymon, Willie Frank, and Scottie McClain and sister, Wanda McClain Miller.
He is survived by his two sons, Don (Denise) McClain and Gary (Kandy) McClain; sister Donnie Faye Batchelor and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services entrusted to Ralph Robinson & Son will be at the chapel Monday, May 18, 2026, at 10 a.m. with Clarence Fell and Don McClain officiating.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Rye, Arkansas.
