Jane Iris Cash Hankins, 90, of Conway, formerly of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
She was born October 26, 1935, in Rison to the late Don Ashcraft and Mabel Goggans Ashcraft.
She graduated from Rison High School and from Arkansas A&M, now the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She married Hugh Carson Cash in 1958. They were married for 38 years until his passing in 1996. Together, they raised 4 children. She later married widow Holland Harrison Hankins, an angel on earth, who passed away in 2013.
She taught school for many years in Rison and several schools in Pine Bluff. After retiring from teaching, she then went to work at Department of Human Services as a field supervisor, until her final retirement.
She was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her daughter, Lou Ann Atkinson Wygal, her sister, Catherine Ann Ashcraft Smith, and two of Holland’s sons, Mike Hankins and Keith Hankins, and grandson Brandon Hankins.
She is survived by sons Hugh Anthony (Tony) Cash and wife Charlotte of Pine Bluff, Don Kyle Cash of Conway, Paul Allen Cash and wife Kim of Heber Springs, and Dale Hankins and wife Rejeanne of Jacksonville, Florida. Granddaughters Lauren Ashley Alexander and husband Frank of Conway, Karley Payton Bell of Beebe, Haley Kyzer and husband Thomas of Heber Springs, and Caroline Jeanne Cummings and husband Joe of Jacksonville, Florida. Grandsons Jonathan Reid Atkinson and wife Cassandra of Greenbrier, and Matt Harmon of Conway. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, Cash Atkinson, Carson Alexander, Addison Atkinson, Penelope Cash, Poppy Bell, Cole Kyzer, and Clay Kyzer. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family gives special thanks to Emily Hampton and every one of her caretakers at Golden Oaks Care Home in Greenbrier for providing such special care for mom these last few months.
Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison. Brother Todd Howard of Watson Chapel Baptist Church will officiate.
