10 YEARS AGO OCTOBER 2, 2013 Cleveland County Sheriff Jack Rodgers reported that two arrests were made last Wednesday on drug charges after an investigation that was conducted by the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department and 13th Judicial Drug Task Force.

10 YEARS AGO SEPTEMBER 18, 2013 Administrators for the Cleveland County School District presented their annual 'Report to the Public' here Monday night, and Supt. Johnnie Johnson said that the last official count for enrollment showed 875 students in the district, which is up from last year.

10 YEARS AGO SEPTEMBER 11, 2013 In a move designed to help prevent more financial issues in the Water Department, the Rison City Council voted Thursday night to raise water deposits and other fees. The council approved raising the water deposit fee from $100 to $150 for both renters and homeowners.

10 YEARS AGO AUGUST 21, 2013 Both the Cleveland County and Woodlawn school districts have started off the 2013-14 school year with more students on campus than they had last year. Early numbers indicate 882 students in the Cleveland County School District and 555 students at Woodlawn.
