WOODLAWN - Aden Moore is emerging as a dual-threat quarterback for Woodlawn after eclipsing the 100-yard mark in both rushing and passing as the Bears rolled past the Midland Mustangs, 44-14, in a non-conference victory Friday night at the Carl Jones Sports Complex.
For the second consecutive week, Moore broke the century mark in rushing with 113 yards on 14 carries with a one touchdown. He had 106 yards on the ground with an 83-yard touchdown sprint in the season opener at Prairie View Academy the week before.
Against Midland, Woodlawn's dominating run game found the Mustangs napping in their pass defense as the Moore hit all four of his attempts for 133 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown strike to Brayden Jones and 47yard score to tight end Brayden Kitchens.

The Bears finished with 439 yards of total offense despite the mercy clock being invoked late in the third quarter. Woodlawn had 306 yards on the ground and 133 through the air.
In addition to Moore's 113 yards rushing, Ethan Adair had 91 yards on 13 carries with a touchdown; Jones had 73 yards on 10 attempts with two touchdowns; and Garrett Weatherford had 22 yards on three carries before he left the game with an ankle injury early in the second quarter.
