RISON - The Rison 7th grade Wildcats slipped to 1-1 on the season following a 28-14 setback at the hands of a mix of 7th/8th graders from England Thursday evening of last week at George Walker Field of Champions.
Rison head coach Caleb Carmikle said the Lions were "big up front and very athletic." The Wildcats' touchdown plays came on a 44-yard passand-run from quarterback Logan McGarity to Trent Southerland and a 29-yard scamper to the end zone by Deion Jones.
The Rison 7th grade team will face Drew Central at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at George Walker Field of Champions.
