RISON - Rison Mayor Charles Roberts will be the guest speaker for the Republican Party of Cleveland County’s monthly meeting at noon Tuesday, July 14, at the Hall-Morgan Veterans Building, 404 Sycamore Street in Rison.
The Republican Party meets at noon the second Tuesday of each month in the Veterans Building. Future speakers include:
• August 11 - Clelveland County Clerk/Circuit Clerk Brandy Herring
• Sept. 8 - District 94 State Rep.-elect Kyle Day
The party also announced the special election for State Senate District 1 will be Aug. 18. If a runoff is needed, it will be held Sept. 15.
