RISON - Rison Pharmacy and Wellness will be hosting an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, to formally celebrate the opening of its new location at 301 Main Street in downtown Rison.Previously located at the corner of Pine and Third Streets in Rison, Rison Pharmacy moved into its new building in May. Lynn Wilson, owner of Rison Pharmacy, said the new location provides more space for their gift shop and also includes a new gym that has an infra-red sauna and shower in addition to a variety of workout equipment.The gym is called Rison Grind Gym and Fitness, and offers monthly memberships. The gym is accessed through a smart phone app and is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m daily.This is the third commercial building project for downtown Rison over the past 10 years. Construction of what is now the Gateway Bank building began with the demolition of Phoenix Hotel in 2014 followed by construction of what is now the Access Medical Clinic the following year....
