Rison High School recently handed out gift certificates provided by local restaurants to six students selected as the "Good Cat" award winners for the first nine weeks of the school year. Assistant Principal Zach Branch said the students selected were randomly drawn from a pool of students who have not been written up for discipline, had any detentions assigned or been tardy over a nine-week period.
Those students selected and their award were (left to right) Treyvione Wainwright, El Girasol Mexican Restaurant; Trent Southerland, Corner Express; Isabella Bradford, Pizza Pro; Matthew Peterson, Main Street Cafe; Harley Rowland, Triple Cross Barbeque; and Mercy Cer, Anytime Smoothie. Branch thanked each of the local restaurants for participating in the awards program.
