SE Arkansas Behavioral Re-Opens Clinic at Rison

RISON - Southeast Arkansas Behavioral Healthcare System (SABHS) has announced that they will again be offering behavioral health services for Cleveland County at its satellite office in Rison.SABHS staff will see patients at the clinic located at their previous address at 402 North Main Street, Suite 2, in the business complex containing the Pizza Pro. The clinic is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Thereafter, the clinic will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.The clinic may be reached by phone at (870) 325-6661 and (870) 325-6662.When asked about resumption of SABHS services in Cleveland County, president and CEO Sherrie James said, “We are so happy that we have successfully addressed our concerns and are again able to serve residents of Rison and other communities in Cleveland County with reliable, professional behavioral health treatments that will improve the lives of our neighbors and their families.”Behavioral health services offered at the clinic will include individual therapy, family therapy and crisis intervention. Staff will include therapists Ashley Steward, LCSW, and Guy Scarbrough, LAC. In addition to face-to-face consultations, James said the office at Rison is also equipped for tele-medicine visits with therapists that are off campus.Clients will be greeted by Kandice Hays, responsible for patient intake and reception. All residents of Cleveland County and nearby who have questions about mental healthcare for themselves or family members are invited to contact or visit the SABHS clinic in Rison.SABHS provides services for people suffering from an emotional problem, substance abuse or mental illness.Established in 1964, SABHS is a private, not-for-profit corporation operated by a board of directors composed of volunteers representing the citizens of the service area, including Arkansas, Cleveland, Grant, Jefferson and Lincoln counties.
