WOODLAWN - Woodlawn High School will begin the 2026 Homecoming Activities on Thursday, Oct. 1 with the annual afternoon Homecoming Ceremony beginning at 2:30 p.m.
School will be dismissed immediately after. On Thursday evening, the Homecoming Ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. for spectators to be admitted.
The ceremonies will end with the crowning of the 2026 Football Sweetheart and the 2026 Homecoming Queen.
This year’s theme is “Timeless Memories.”

The master of ceremonies will be Rowdy Tooke and Evan Donnell, the mistress of ceremonies will be Aubrie Allred. The mascots will be Emerson Ashcraft and Ridge Jones, both first graders at Woodlawn.
On Friday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m., the elementary classes will begin dismissing to the football field, Senior High Lunch will be normal release at 12:20 p.m. All high school students will be released to field at 1:15 p.m., Pep rally starts at 1:25 p.m.
Immediately following, class competitions will begin. This year’s events include traditional games such as an Obstacle Course, Tug of War and also a balloon relay.
School will be dismissed at regular time. Football games will begin that night at 5 p.m.
The Homecoming Queen, Sweetheart, maids and their parents will be introduced between the games.
There will be NO Homecoming Dance on Friday night. There will however be a dance on Saturda…
