RUMC Adds Food Donation Box To Gateway Bank

RISON - In an effort to help those in the community who need help in feeding their families, Rison United Methodist Church's Community Outreach program is installing a donation box in Gateway Bank. Anyone who wishes to help in this effort may drop off items for the food pantry at the bank.

Festival Vendors Nearing Full Capacity

RISON - The Rison in the Fall Festival is reaching vendor capacity, organizer Douglas Boultinghouse has announced. The festival, set for Saturday, Oct. 7 in downtown Rison, is expected to have a record number of vendors this year with more than 40 vendors selling a variety of items and foods.

Mainline Health Recognized For Blood Pressure Control

MONTICELLO, Ark. - Mainline Health Systems Inc. (MHSI) has been recognized by the American Heart Association and American Medical Association for its commitment to improving blood pressure (BP) control rates, earning GOLD PLUS status level recognition as part of the Target: BP™ initiative.
Trent Southerland, a seventh grader at Rison Middle School, was named September Student of the Month for grades 7-9. Trent is the son of Tony and Marcie Howard, and Beau and Emily Southerland. He is the grandson of Petty and Vickie Taylor and Danny Howard. He has five siblings, Brock, Brady, Lane, Denver and Pennlee. His activities and honors include football, Beta club, basketball, baseball and church.
