The Arkansas National Guard “Fly Over Arkansas” celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary will take place sometime between 10 and 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, over Rison, the Arkansas National Guard posted today. The flyover will include one of two aircraft: UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, a versatile tactical transport aircraft; or C-130 Hercules, heavy-lifting cargo planes with a strong Arkansas military heritage through the Little Rock Air Force Base. The news release did not mention which aircraft would be involved in the Rison flyover. A map posted on Facebook showed the flight leaving Little Rock and going over Sheridan, Pine Bluff, Stuttgart and DeWitt before turning southwest to fly over Rison followed by Star City, Monticello, McGehee and other Southeast Arkansas Locations.
