Christmas in the Village in Rison is expanding this year into a two-night event at the Pioneer Village, kicking off Thursday, December 4th, at 4 p.m.

The Thursday festival features a Fish Fry Fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. to support the Village's upkeep, offering fish and chicken dinners for $20. Attendees can also browse a Holiday Vendor Market with free vendor space available. Cleveland County Cares will host its annual $1-per-game Christmas Bingo from 5 to 7 p.m., raising funds for families in need. Entertainment includes a Christmas Concert by the Rison United Methodist Church Choir at 6 p.m. The evening concludes with the Gingerbread Workshop from 7 to 8:30 p.m. ($10 per person, $40 family max), sponsored by The CALL and The Cleveland County Herald, offering cash prizes for participants. Registration for the workshop is due by November 26th.

The festivities continue Saturday, December 6th, with a Reindeer Run 5K starting at 8 a.m. ($25 fee) and Holiday Photo Sessions with Santa from 9 to 11 a.m. ($120 plus tax), with a portion benefiting the Village.

The event concludes Thursday, December 11th, following the Rison Shine Christmas Parade (approx. 7:30 p.m.), with a Cookies & Cocoa with Santa After Parade Party, featuring a performance by the Rison Starz Dance Academy and free vendor space.
