County Judge Seeks Information on Stolen Signs

County Judge Don Triplett is seeking information about the whereabouts of  some county road signs that have been stolen throughout the county over the past few months. The signs include road name signs as well as stop signs.

Since coming into office in February, Triplett said the county has spent about $2.500 replacing thos signs. He said many of those that were replaced have since been stolen as well.

State law considers the theft of stop signs or railroad crossing devices a Class D felony with a minimum fine of $5,000.
