Rally Networks expects to complete Phase I of its fiber optic expansion in Cleveland County by July, with the entire three-phase project expected to take about two years, operations manager Bruce Grubb told the Cleveland County Republican Party.
The project will replace aging copper telephone lines and expand high-speed broadband service, offering internet speeds up to 8 gigabits per second.
Phase I extends service from Rison and Kingsland into surrounding rural areas, while future phases will reach additional communities across the county. Grubb said fiber provides clearer, more reliable telephone service and supports modern features. Existing landline customers will be upgraded at no cost as construction progresses.
