WOODLAWN - Carl Jones, the former Woodlawn High School basketball after whom the WHS Sports Complex is named, will be honored between the girls and boys varsity basketball games against Magnet Cove on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the Woodlawn Gym.Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hancock said Carl Jones’ son will be on hand, and members of the basketball teams from 1969 to 1972, the first basketball teams to use the gym, have been invited to take part in the event.Hancock said they will also recognize the school board members who helped raise the funds to build the gym at that time as well....
