Elizabeth Bowles, chairman and chief executive officer for Aristotle, a Little Rock-based internet service provider, told the Cleveland County Broadband Committee Monday morning that her company hopes to begin construction on an underground fiber optic internet network to the New Edinburg area sometime within the first quarter of 2027. Bowles met with County Judge Don Triplett and the broadband committee Monday morning about the company’s plans. Aristotle is using a combined $2.36 million in federal funding to help support the project that will provide internet volumes of up to 1 gigabyte (1,000 megabytes) per second. She said they hope to have the entire project completed within about 18 months of starting, noting that customers can begin accessing the service as soon as segments are completed.
