G/T Veterans Program

  • RISON SCHOOL GIFTED AND TALENTED VETERANS DAY PROGRAM - The flags of the various divisions of the U.S. Armed Forces flap in the breeze as students from the Gifted and Talented program at Rison School held their annual Veterans Day program at George Walker Field of Champions. The program is becoming an annual tradition in Rison as the students pay tribute to local veterans around Veterans Day each year. This year, the program happen to fall on the same day as Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

    Rison Gifted and Talented honored veterans recently at George Walker Field of Champions at Rison High School. This year's program, The Soldier's Gift, was well received with many veterans, and spouses, along with students and faculty in attendance. G/T students thank the Arkansas Humanities Council and Walmart of Fordyce for sponsoring the program.
