Woodlawn students competed in the Woodlawn School Spelling Bee on Thursday, Dec. 1. With 21 students representing grades fourth through eighth competing, it was a close race that resulted in five top contenders being identified. The top five will go on to compete regionally in the Cleveland County Spelling Bee at Woodlawn School on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023. Winners (pictured from left to right) are: Rhett Hendricks - 1st Place, Allie Fugate - 2nd Place, Mark Adams - 3rd Place, Allison Garrison - 4th Place, and Samuel Lovette - 5th Place.
