WOODLAWN - Woodlawn Elementary ambassadors Maci Gavi n (left) and Mollie Turner (right) discuss the French tradition of children leaving carrots in their shoes to feed to the donkey that pulls the sleigh for "Père Noël" (Father Christmas). Each grade level at Woodlawn Elementary decorated their rooms and hallways featuring the different ways that Christmas is celebrated across the world as well as sample some of the foods they eat around the holiday.
