It was the second digital skills training class to be held in the county with the first being hosted by Woodlawn High School in November. Danielle Watson, family and consumer science agent for the Cleveland County Cooperative Extension Office in Rison, is organizing the digital skills training classes on behalf of the Cleveland County Broadband Committee to help people learn more about using the internet plus how to use various digital devices like laptops, tablets and smart phones. Watson said she is using the Extension Services' 4-H Tech Changemakers program to train EAST lab students at both Rison and Woodlawn High Schools about how to train others on using the internet and digital equipment. Watson said other training classes will be set up around in the county in coming weeks.
