Larry Eugene Patrick, 81, of Rogers, passed away June 10, 2026, in his home.  

He was born October 8, 1944, in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Wilburn and Mildred Patrick.  Larry graduated from Woodlawn Schools, attended Arkansas A&M College in Monticello, and joined Sigma Tau Gama Fraternity, where he served as Vice President. He also served as President of his Junior Class and graduated with a B.B.A in Business.

Larry was employed by Wayerhaeuser as an Office Manager, and later Director of Administration Services for Levi Strauss, National Distribution Center. He spent the bulk of his career as Director of Industrial Finance for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and traveled the U.S. working to locate new industry to Arkansas.  He served under the administration of three governors and was a member of the Industrial Developers of Arkansas, the Southern Economic Development Corporation, and other industry groups.

In 1991, Larry and Susan moved to Rogers, as she accepted a buyers job with Walmart.  In 1995, Larry became Director of Economic Development for the U.S. division for Walmart, which worked with state and local leaders to find uses for old Walmart stores. Many of them were leased to schools, hospitals and call centers which made Larry very proud to give back to the community.  Larry retired from Walmart in 2009.

Larry served three terms on the Benton County Quorum Court, as well as on the boards for the Rogers Chamber of Commerce and Rogers Optimist Club.

Larry is survived by his wife, Susan Webb Patrick; his daughter Jennifer Wilson and husband Mike of Elkins; his brother, Wendell Patrick and wife Sandy of Calmer; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date.  Larry will be interred in the Rowell Cemetery at Rowell.  

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Rogers, or Center Missionary Baptist Church at Rowell.
