10 YEARS AGO SEPTEMBER 18, 2013 Administrators for the Cleveland County School District presented their annual 'Report to the Public' here Monday night, and Supt. Johnnie Johnson said that the last official count for enrollment showed 875 students in the district, which is up from last year.

10 YEARS AGO SEPTEMBER 11, 2013 In a move designed to help prevent more financial issues in the Water Department, the Rison City Council voted Thursday night to raise water deposits and other fees. The council approved raising the water deposit fee from $100 to $150 for both renters and homeowners.

10 YEARS AGO AUGUST 7, 2013 Due to budget cuts, Cleveland County will only be able to improve about half as much county roadway this year as it did last year. Judge Gary Spears said the county will be able to 'chip and seal' only about three miles of county roads due to budget cuts.
