OTTAWA, Ontario — Member of the Arkansas Extension Homemakers Council gained a global perspective on her volunteer efforts as delegate to the Associated Country Women of the World 31st Triennial World Conference. The conference took place in Ottawa, Ontario, from April 26-May 1.

JUNETEENTH IN THE BLUFF - Downtown Pine Bluff is transformed in to a live entertainment district during the Juneteenth in the Bluff celebration. Lakes, a funk and Rhythm & Blues band, will headline this year's festival set to take place at from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday at the Delta Rhythm & Bayous Cultural District in downtown Pine Bluff.

WOOD LAWN - June 16 marks the end of an era at Woodlawn High School as longtime teachertumed- counselor Karen Talent retires after 38 years with the district.With most of her office cleaned out and memories packed up, she still spent her last day working.

MARKS REUNION STILL GOING FOR 150 YEARS - The sign marking the entrance to the Marks Cemetery shows visitors how to get to one of Cleveland County’s oldest cemeteries tucked away among the pines off Hwy. 97 between Kingsland and New Edinburg. The cemetery has become the site for the Marks Family Reunion, which has been held annually since 1876.
