Cleveland County Fair To Begin Accepting Entries This Tuesday

RISON - The Cleveland County Fair Board encourages the public to enter anything from canned vegetables to artwork in this year's fair - and win a little cash in the process! Entries will be accepted this Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 10-11.

Rison Council Appoints Interim Recorder/Treasurer

RISON - The Rison City Council officially declared the office of city recorder/treasurer vacant and approved the appointment of Rhonda Hopson as the interim recorder/treasurer through the end of the year.

King Wins Miss Boomtown Crown, Heads to Miss Arkansas

EL DORADO - Alli Beth King was crowned Miss Boomtown 2025 Saturday, Aug. 24, in El Dorado, Arkansas. Miss Boomtown is a preliminary for the Miss Arkansas pageant to be held at Robinson Auditorium in June 2025. This will be King's third time to compete in Miss Arkansas.
