First Food Truck Friday Success; Organizers Planning to Add Trucks

RISON - The first Food Truck Friday event held this past Friday, June 21, has been deemed a success by organizers within Rison Shine Community Development and the Pioneer Village.The event is a joint venture between the two organizations under Kickstart Cleveland County.

Murder Trial Now Underway at Rison

RISON - A jury was seated and the trial began in Cleveland County Circuit Court Tuesday in the first degree murder trial of Emily Brown, accused of killing Christopher Miller, 38, of Greenwood, on Aug. 6, 2022, at a residence in the Macedonia community about seven miles south of Rison.

RISON - Rison United Methodist Church will be hosting a food pantry from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 22.  The church holds its food pantry the fourth Saturday of each month.
