Designer Bag Bingo Will Support Crisis Center for Women

FORYDCE - The Women’s Crisis Center of South Arkansas will be hosting a Hope, Healing and Handbags Designer Bag Bingo from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Fordyce Civic Center.Tickets are $50 in advance or $55 at the door.

WOODLAWN - A talented young artist from Woodlawn Elementary has earned statewide recognition for her creativity and skill.

Young Finishes Second A Chess Tournament

WOODLAWN - Isaac Young, a 3rd grader at Woodlawn Elementary, placed second in the Southeast Arkansas Education Cooperative 3rd/4th grade chess tournament held in Monticello. Young placed second among 41 players from Drew Central, Hermitage, McGehee, Monticello, and Woodlawn schools.

Woodlawn Wins Regional Cubing Competition

WOODLAWN - Woodlawn students ranging from 4th grade all the way up to 12th grade attended the SEARK Cubing Competition at Southeast Arkansas Education Cooperative  in Monticello. Teams made up of six members are required to work together to solve 25 cubes in the best possible time.
