Kingsland Council To Meet Thursday

KINGSLAND - The Kingsland City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at Kingsland City Hall, Mayor Karen Wiscaver has announced.The Kingsland City Council usually meets the fourth Thursday of the month.

C&L BROADBAND CONNECT  PROGRESS - This map shows the current status of where C&L Broadband Connect is in regards to bringing fiber optic internet service to Cleveland County. The service was recently activated between Calmer and Pansy on the right side of the map.  An area across the northern part of the county, extending from east of the Saline River over to the Woodlawn-Randall area, is currently listed as “under construction,” as is an area around Rye in far southeast Cleveland County.

C&L Broadband Connecting First Customers

RISON - C&L Broadband Connect, the fiber optic internet service being offered through the C&L Electric Cooperative, recently began connecting its first customers in Cleveland County to the new high-speed service.

Kingsland Council Vacancy Corrected

In last week's July 2, 2025, issue of the Herald, the article concerning a vacancy on the Kingsland City Council misidentified the vacant seat as being for Ward 2, Position 1. The vacancy was actually for Ward 1, Position 1, according to Mayor Karen Wiscaver.
