WOODLAWN - Jaci Hoyt, an 11th grade student from Woodlawn High School is one of the Finalists for the Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes ARTEFFECT 2025 Competition. The 115 projects encompass 64 Unsung Heroes stories, including all seven Spotlight Unsung Heroes.

Davidson Awarded at Young Artist Reception

WOODLAWN - Annie Davidson's art submission, Governor's Dreamhouse, received an award at the 2025 Governor’s Young Artist reception on May 13. She received the Secretariat Award along with a $100 check. Judges commented that the entry exemplifies happiness and joy.

RISON - The Cleveland County Quorum Court received an update on the effort to create a veterans museum at the Hall-Morgan Veterans Building in Rison during its regular monthly meeting Monday night.

County’s Unemployment Rate at 4 Percent

RISON - Cleveland County’s unemployment rate fell to 4.0 percent in March, which puts it below the national average but above the state average, according to data from the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services.
