Rison United Methodist Food Pantry Moved To Friday

Due to the potential for winter precipitation on Saturday, Rison United Methodist Church has announced it is moving its Food Pantry distribution originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24, to 8 a.m. this Friday, Jan. 23, at Rison United Methodist Church, 800 Main Street in Rison.

Pesticide Applicator Training Jan. 27

RISON - The Cleveland County Cooperative Extension Service will be conducting a Pesticide Applicator Training session on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at the Hall-Morgan Veterans Building, beginning promptly at 6 p.m.Each participant will be charged a $20 training fee which will go towards training materials.

RHS Prom Closet Sets Date for Feb. 14

RISON - RHS Prom Closet will be open Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Rison Baptist Church Jesus First Building.This day allows girls to browse and try on new and gently-used formal dresses for prom. Each girl can take home one free dress.Doors open at 9 a.m. for Rison High School students.

RISON - The Cleveland County Cattleman’s Association will meet Thursday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds Meeting Room, 17 Fairgrounds Drive in Rison.

Rison Methodist Food Pantry Jan. 24

RISON - Rison United Methodist Church will be hosting a food pantry from 7 to 9 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 24.The church, located at 800 Main Street, typically holds its food pantry the fourth Saturday of each month, but is one week earlier this month.
