New Edinburg Will Host Spring BBQ Saturday Evening

NEW EDINBURG - The New Edinburg Community Center will be hosting its annual Spring Barbeque Fundraiser starting at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at the community center.Plates are $15 and include a barbeque pork sandwich, baked beans, cole slaw, dessert and drink.

USDA Commodities To Be Distributed Saturday at Kingsland

KINGSLAND - The Open Door Community Pantry located at 650 Hwy. 97 in Kingsland will be handing out USDA commodities from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 8.Open Door Pantry usually distributes commodities on the second Saturday of each month.

Cleveland County School Board Moving Monthly Meeting to March 17

RISON - The Cleveland County School Board has moved its March meeting to Monday, March 17, Superintendent Davy King as announced. The school board meeting was originally scheduled for Monday, March 10. The Cleveland County School Board usually meets the second Monday of the each month.

Why Knots Project Club Seeking Sewers, Meeting March 10

RISON - The Why Knots Project Club, part of the Cleveland County Extension Homemakers Club, will be holding a meeting March 10 at 2 p.m. at the Veterans Building in Rison. The Club invites anyone interested in contributing to sewing projects for the residents of Cleveland County to join.

Local Students Named To ASU Honors Lists

JONESBORO – Students on the Chancellor’s and Dean’s Lists for the fall 2024 semester at Arkansas State University have been announced. The lists recognize undergraduate students who achieved the highest grade-point averages while completing a minimum of 12 credit hours of study.
