WOODLAWN - Woodlawn bolted out to a 15-point lead by the end of the first quarter as the Lady Bears took control early in  a 56-23 victory over the Fordyce Ladybugs in 8-2A conference action Monday night inside the Woodlawn Gym.

ROSE BUD - Woodlawn struggled to find its offense from the start as the Cross County Lady Thunderbirds rolled to a 56-27 win over the Lady Bears in the final round of the Rose Bud Tournament on Saturday.

Wildcats Beat Beavers; Fall To Warren, 62-54

LAKE VILLAGE - The Rison Wildcats picked up their first 83A conference win with a 66-61 victory over the Lake Village Beavers on the road Tuesday night.Game details were not available at press time. The Wildcats improved to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play with the win.

Rison Sports Hall of Fame To Induct First Class Feb. 1

RISON - The inaugural class of the Rison High School Sports Hall of Fame will be announced during a special induction ceremony and banquet to be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the White Hall Community Center, 9801 Dollarway Road in White Hall.Advance tickets are $20 or $25 at the door.

Lady 'Cats Split Tourney Games

MONTICELLO - The Rison Lady Wildcats split their two games at the Drew Central Tournament this past Friday and Saturday by knocking off Class 4A Monticello, 68-55, in the first round before falling to Class 5A White Hall, 70-64, in the second round.Game details were not available at press time.
