NWTF Jakes Days Set For Saturday at Rison

RISON - The Cleveland County Cutters & Strutters Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will host a Jakes Day youth event this Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Old Turkey Farm off Mt. Elba Road south of Rison. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with station rotations beginning at 8:30 a.m.

RISON - The Rison Wildcats fell to the Ouachita Warriors, 5925, in their final regular season game last Friday night at the Rison Gym. The 'Cats enter the 8-2A District Tournament as the no. 6 seed in the tournament. They are scheduled to face the Gurdon Go Devils, the no. 7 seed, at 7:15 p.m.

Lady Wildcats Take Second in 8-2A With Wins Over Ouachita, Woodlawn

RISON - The Rison Lady Wildcats secured the no. 2 seed in this week's 8-2A District Tournament at Gurdon with a 42-32 victory over the Ouachita Lady Warriors Friday night at the Rison Gym. The Lady 'Cats wrapped up the regular season with a 17-10 record overall and an 8-4 mark in conference play.
