Robert Gensert

Robert M. Gensert, 85, of Fordyce, died February 2, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Gensert and two sisters, Nancie Albright and Margaret "Peg" Gorrell. He retired from the United States Navy as an Electrician Mate Chief Petty Officer in 1984.

Robert Joe Shaddock, 64, of Kingsland died Monday, February 27, 2023 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was born January 27, 1959 in Camden, Arkansas. He was a retired carpenter.

Effie Peters

Effie Mae Peters, 75 of Rison, passed away February 15, 2023 at The Green House Cottages. She was born October 31, 1947 in Pine Bluff, AR to the late Thomas and Ida Rogers Anglin. Effie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and going to the casino.

Edd Batchelor

Edgar G. "Edd" Batchelor, 96, of Longview, Texas, passed away on February 6, 2023. Beloved by his family, he was affectionately known as Papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edd was born on April 3, 1926 near Redfield, Arkansas, to his parents, Patrick E. and Nellie R.

Gene Franklin

Louis (Gene) Franklin, 79, of Kingsland, Arkansas died Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Dallas County Medical Center, in Fordyce, Arkansas. Gene was born November 1, 1943, in Kingsland, the eldest son of the late Louis Lamar (Luke) Franklin and Annie (Kathryn) Dykes Franklin.

Tommy Cash

Tommy Lynn Cash, 73, of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 5, 2023.  He was born August 4, 1949 in Pine Bluff to Ira & Oralyn Lutrell Cash. Tommy graduated from Rison High School, where he was an honor student and excelled in track and basketball.

Dan Spears

Daniel L. 'Dan' Spears, 83, of Woodlawn community, lost his battle with dementia Feb 11, 2023. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Mary who made her journey in 2020. Dan moved to Woodlawn in 1974 and raised his family.

Roy L. Morgan, 84, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was born December 23, 1938, in Cleveland County, Arkansas to the late John W. Morgan and Mildred Patrick Morgan.

Helen Pennington

Helen Hobson Pennington, 86, of Rison, passed away February 8, 2023 at her home. She was bom June 2, 1936 in Rison, AR to the late Calvin S. and Gladys Childress Hobson. She graduated from Rison High School, and attended Arkansas A&M College (now the University of Arkansas at Monticello).
