CCSO: Report from Lt. Brad Young, 4/18-4/24

Good afternoon, I hope you've all had a great week. As we begin this week's report, I'd like to take a moment to introduce our newest team member, Deputy Gary 'Andy' Reed. Andy proudly served in the United States Army for 8 years, ultimately attaining the rank of Sergeant. In addition to his military background, Andy holds a bachelor's degree and is currently furthering his education with a degree in History at LSU. Andy, along with his wife Christina and their four children, reside in the Woodlawn area.

With Andy on board, we're one step closer to having a deputy on duty around the clock. I'm committed to providing immediate response times regardless of the hour, and this brings us closer to achieving that goal. This will also reduce the compensatory time that has to be paid by the county, as well as on-call time for deputies.

Lastly, I am asking everyone to please use extreme caution on Saturday and Sunday mornings when driving on US Highway 79 or in Rison, as a group of bicyclists often ride in these areas.
