Pink Out Rison Next Wednesday

RISON - Rison Shine and the City of Rison will sponsor a Pink Out Rison Day in observance of Breast Care Awareness Month!On Wednesday, Oct. 29, everyone in Rison is encouraged to wear pink and share your photos in the comments on the Rison Shine and City of Rison Facebook posts.
YARD OF THE MONTH: OCTOBER 2025 - Cleveland County Cultivators and Master Gardeners have selected the yard of Paul & Tammy Bray as Halloween (October) yard of the month. The Bray's have everything from ghosts, to pumpkins & mums, to witches, and even a cemetery in their yard.

Clarification: Chambliss Electric Earns County Bid

Cleveland County Judge Jimmy Dale Adair reported that the bid for installing the electrical system in the new voting machin storage building was Chambliss Electric of Rison rather than Greg Hyatt as he mentioned during the meeting.

AGFC Promotes Game Warden Eric Rawls to Sergeant

The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission has promoted Chris “Eric” Rawls of Rison to Sergeant  for District C-4.  Sgt. Rawls  has served as a Game Warden for 5 years, and has been assigned to Cleveland County in the C-4 district since graduating from the AGFC Enforcement Cadet School.

Oct. 15 Is Deadline For Property Taxes

RISON - Cleveland County Tax Collector Patti Wilson has announced that the deadline for paying 2024 personal and real property taxes is Wednesday, Oct. 15. Taxes can be paid at the tax collector’s office at the courthouse at Rison.
