New World Screwworm Detected in South Texas

KINGSLAND - The Kingsland City Council was approached last Thursday to look into possibly claiming ownership of the “pole yard” property that parallels the railroad track along First Street between Maple and Larch.
RISON TO ACQUIRE MINI-STORAGE BUILDING - The City of Rison is scheduled to take ownership of the former mini-storage building located next to FBT Community Park in downtown Rison this Thursday.  The building is expected to be torn down and the concrete slab beneath it incorporated into the park. There has been discussion of possibly building a stage there.
