Rison’s Castillo To Receive Seal Of Bilteracy Award

RISON - Rison High School’s Marcela Castillo is one of 1,448 Arkansas students from the high schools to earn the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy for demonstrating proficiency in English and one or more other languages by high school graduation.

EHC Clubs Donate to Quilt of Valor Organization

RISON - Cleveland County Extension Homemaker Club and residents donated 21 quilt tops to the Saline County Quilt of Valor organization. These handmade quilts will be awarded to Veterans or service members affected by war, providing comfort, healing, and a sense of gratitude.

RISON - Rison United Methodist Church will be hosting a food pantry from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 25.The church, located at 800 Main Street, typically holds its food pantry the fourth Saturday of each month.

Rison FFA Banquet, Auction April 30 at Fairgrounds

RISON - Rison High School FFA will host a Blue and Gold Banquet and Auction Thursday, April 30 at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds.The BBQ Dinner and Awards will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the auction at 7 p.m.Plates are $10 per person and include a BBQ sandwich, two sides, dessert and a drink.
