Y/212 Chili Supper To Be Held Saturday

The "Y"/Hwy. 212 Volunteer Fire Department is reviving its Chili Supper/Cake Walk-Auction at 5 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 7, at the "Y" Community Center, 8000 Hwy. 35 North at the Staves community.
TRIPLETT SWORN IN - Just moments after the Cleveland County Quo rum Court unanimously approved appointing former Justice of the Peace Don Triplett (right) to serve as county judge for the remainder of the year, he was sworn into office by Cleveland County Clerk Brandy Herring (right). Triplett served on the quorum court for 16 years and ran for county judge during the 2022 election cycle.

Triplett Appointed As New County Judge

RISON - The Cleveland County Quorum Court unanimously selected former Justice of the Peace Don Triplett Monday night to serve as county judge for the remainder of the year.

RISON - The Cleveland County Quorum Court approved a Disaster Emergency Declaration during its regular monthly meeting Monday night in the wake of the recent winter storm.

McClellan Wants To Use Grant Experience To Improve County

RISON - Stephen McClellan of New Edinburg said his experience working in emergency management at the county and state level as given him insight into ways to find grant money to help improve Cleveland County.
