RISON - Voters in the Woodlawn School District will be deciding the fate of a 2-mill tax increase request from the district when they head to the polls May 13 for the annual school election.

RISON - Chief Deputy Jimmy “Bo” Hudson of Rison, a member of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, was awarded the Bravery Award last week for acts of heroism and courage in the line of duty.

DEWITT - The DeWitt Lady Dragons wrapped up the 8-3A conference championship Tuesday by getting past the Rison Lady Wildcats, 6-3, in a league game Tuesday at DeWitt.The loss dropped Rison to 7-8 overall and 4-3 in league play.
