Cleveland County Represented at 4-H Orama

Blacksmith Club Using Skills at Pioneer Village

RISON - At the May 4-H Blacksmith meeting, the students used the skills they are learning to help repair the sign at the Pioneer Village Blacksmith shop. The sign was blown down by high winds. The 4-Hers, under the leadership of Mr. Ed Montgomery, forged nails and hangers used to rehang the sign.

Woodlawn Classes 1965-65 To Meet June 28 at Calmer

WOODLAWN - The Woodlawn Classes of 1964-65 announce their annual gathering  will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Mt. Olivet Global Methodist Church in Calmer. All friends and family are welcome to stop by and visit.

New Cemetery Meeting June 21

RISON - The New Cemetery association will have a meeting on June 21, 2025 at the First Baptist Church at 12 noon. Members are asked to attend and support with the payment of their families yearly cemetery dues.

Chastain Makes Top 15 in Miss Arkansas Teen

LITTLE ROCK - Kaylea Chastain pictured above with her Arkansas Diamonds Ada Gross and Joslyn Stevens, placed in the Top 15 of the Miss Arkansas Teen pageant last week. She is the daughter of Jimmy and Krystle Chastain, and is a sophomore at Southern Arkansas University.

Warrior Lodge at Jefferson Regional to Provide Hope, Comfort for Cancer Patients

PINE BLUFF - The Jones-Dunklin Cancer Center at Jefferson Regional serves patients from across South Arkansas, many of whom face the significant challenge of traveling long distances for multi-day treatments.

Bethel #1 Begins Bible School Sunday
